Dentistry for Midtown Receives CAPN Recognition for Dental Treatment

Once a month Dentistry for Midtown dedicates
a day to giving free dental care to the
CAPN patients who are homeless,
live in shelters or are in recovery programs.

December, 2011

Dr. David Bordeaux and his staff were recognized for 25 years of treating indigent patients at the meeting of the Community Advanced Practice Nurses.

CAPN has provided critical medical and dental services to the homeless and underserved citizens of Atlanta since the early 1990’s through clinics at St. Lukes Church and in Grant Park.

Presenting the award were Tanya Johnson and Connie Buchanan, directors.
Dr. Bordeaux and Phyllis Winchester, RDH received it on behalf of the office. Once a month they dedicate a day to giving free dental care to the CAPN patients who are homeless, live in shelters or are in recovery halfway programs.

“This so important. For some patients the relief of pain and infection is a blessing in itself. For others, repairing damaged teeth and rebuilding healthy smiles is critical to their return to responsible, independent living,” said Dr. Bordeaux. “These are the most grateful patients you will ever meet.”
